My Promise to You

Working closely with you allows me to develop a personal relationship that translates into the creation of a home that not only will fit your current lifestyle, but will also maintain its value and design integrity over the passage of time.  My desire is to go beyond your expectations while at the same time keeping in mind your budget and the practicality of the design itself.  I will be personally involved with your design from start to finish, enabling me to maintain a high level of creativity not only in the initial design phase, but throughout the entire design process.  The highest standard of quality from the preliminary stage thru the construction document phase will be strictly maintained so that you receive the best possible product in the end.  After the drawings are complete and the permit is issued, I make myself available to you and your builder for consultation until the completion of your project at your request.  Please contact me today about your project.

What is a professional building designer?

Many people ask me this question as well as “what is the difference between you and an architect?”  I like to answer that question this way:  Architects are general practitioners while I am a specialist.  The main difference is that most architects design commercial projects as well as a few residential projects every year while I have chosen to specialize in only Residential Design/Remodeling and have done so for over 25 years.  I have been a Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD) for over 14 years, and a member of the American Institute of Building Design (AIBD) for the same amount of time.  Staying in touch with the most current building practices thru continuing education is a requirement set forth by the National Council of Building Design and is the requirement for maintaining a CPBD certification.

Mark is a Certified Professional Building Designer (NCBDC) with over 25 years of Residential Design experience specializing in coastal waterfront and classical designed luxury homes.  Mark studied for two years with the Institute of Classical Architecture out of New York City and is currently a member of the American Institute of Building Designs Florida chapter.
